Kids Challenge Firefighters To Snowball Fight: Video
"Our crews did not stand a chance," the fire department said of the snowball fight.

Between extra calls and hazardous road conditions snow days can be tiring and stressful for the first responders on duty. But as Fairfax County firefighters and paramedics were finishing up a job amidst the snowstorm Wednesday evening, local kids gave them a reason to smile.
Fairfax County Fire and Rescue crews had responded to a chimney fire on Chapel Hill Drive in Burke. After getting the fire under control, they were about to leave when a group of kids challenged them to a snowball fight.
It wasn't even a close fight as the kids pounded the firefighters with snowballs. Their accuracy was impeccable, with video footage showing the kids hitting a firefighter and even the cameraperson from across the street.

The Burke Volunteer Fire Department took a lighthearted jab at their Fairfax County colleagues. "Guess we need more snow so they can practice their snowball fighting skills," the volunteer department said on Facebook.
Wednesday's winter storm produced the biggest snowfall of the season, so it was a joyful day off for kids. For the firefighters that had to work, it was a small gesture that make the day a little better.
