Where To Get Summer Meals For Kids From Fairfax Schools
Fairfax County Public Schools will continue to provide free meals over summer 2021 through distribution sites and bus routes.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — While school has ended for Fairfax County Public Schools students for summer break, students' meals don't have to. Free meals will continue to be provided over the summer to FCPS students and children 18 and younger.
Summer meal distribution will begin on Monday, June 28 and run through Aug. 2. There won't be meal service from Aug. 9 to 20. Meals will resume with the first day of school on Monday, Aug. 23. No-cost meals for students will continue through June 2022.
Meals will be distributed at various school sites and through bus routes. All FCPS students are eligible for free meals, as well as anyone 18 and younger. Parents and caregivers are allowed to pick up children's meals and can purchase adult meal kits at distribution sites for $28. Adult meals are not available on bus routes.

Distribution sites will have meal kits available Mondays from June 28 to Aug. 2. Meal kits contain seven days worth of breakfast and lunch. On the week of the July 4 holiday, meal kits will be distributed Tuesday, July 6 instead of Monday.

Ten bus routes will also run from June 28 to Aug. 5, distributing seven days worth of breakfast and lunch. Buses will stop at designated intersections on a weekly basis. Different bus routes are scheduled on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Check for updated schedules at www.fcps.edu/return-school/food/bus.
