Snow Expected Under Winter Weather Advisory For NoVa, DC

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory as one to two inches of snow is expected to cover Northern Virginia and DC beginning Tuesday night. The heaviest amount of snow for NoVa and DC would come from midnight to 6 a.m.

Carjackers Foiled By Hot Chocolate In Woodbridge: Police

Two armed would-be carjackers received a jolting comeuppance at the hands of two swashbuckling women late Saturday night outside the 7-Eleven at 15052 Cardinal Drive, according to Prince William County Police. Namely, they defended their car with a swing of a bag and a thrown cup of piping hot chocolate.

Skimming Device Found At Arlington ATM

You may want to check your credit card and bank accounts if you've been to an ATM in Clarendon recently. Police said they were called to the 3000 block of Wilson Blvd. on Jan. 12 for the report of a skimming device located inside an ATM.

Dueling Gun Rallies Held At Virginia Capitol

Demonstrators for and against gun control held rallies on the Capitol grounds Monday, highlighting an issue that has sharply divided Republicans and Democrats. U.S. Rep. Dave Brat and several fellow Republicans held a rally in the morning in support of the Second Amendment and the expansion of gun rights. A few hours later, Democratic officials delivered a different message, advocating what they call "common-sense" gun control proposals.
