Centreville Homicide: Police Identify Teen Victim
Detectives are pursuing leads in the case, say Fairfax County police.

CENTREVILLE, VA — The Fairfax County police on Friday identified the homicide victim found early Wednesday morning as 17-year-old Matthew Ortega. A delivery driver discovered the teen lying in the street in the 13000 block of Jeb Stuart Square in Centreville.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. The police said that Ortega, a Centreville resident, died as a result of trauma to the upper body; they declined to release further details. The results of an autopsy are pending.
No arrests have been made, and homicide detectives are pursuing leads in the case, the police said.
