Centreville native Kendell Anderson is this week's Colonial Athletic Association CAA) Rookie of the Week, the Virginia Gazette reports.
The College of William & Mary red shirt freshman performed well in weekend play against Hampton University on Saturday, contributing to his team's season-opener win.
The gazette reports Anderson, a Westfield High School graduate, scored two touchdowns and had a career-high 97 yards on 14 carries.
