Centreville Residents Sound Off on Snow Plowing

As of Monday, Winter Storm Jonas has brought over two feet of snow to a majority of towns across Virginia costing the Metro DC Area a least $250 million dollars.
As everyone continues to dig themselves out, the U.S. Postal Service has started collecting, delivering and sorting mail throughout the Northern Virginia area. Although, all Fairfax County public schools and offices remain closed until further notice.
As local jurisdictions started to plow residential streets, we asked Patch readers how their residental streets are looking. Here’s what you said:

- “Still under 3’ of snow.”
- “Still snowed in. There’s a small bobcat taking it away one scoop at a time. It’s taking a long time. Private contractor.”
- “Sequoia Farms is awful - a Firetruck got stuck today down by Sequoia and Braddock. Westfield between 28 and Braddock is in great shape. Braddock Rd between Sequoia and Stone Road is in good shape.”
- “Belle Pond Farm is still unplowed.”
- “Sequoia Farms is still untouched and is a mess. A big 5 ton has made tracks but now it’s packed down and freezing. Lots of people getting stuck, including a firetruck and a police SUV!”
- “Silo Valley View and Uniform Dr need plowing but Field Encampment is awful. Plows getting stuck then leaving. Neighbors trying to dig themselves out.”
