Deer Slides Down School Hallway

It’s a janitor’s nightmare: kids sliding across a just-waxed hallway floor.

New security footage from an Albemarle County school shows students aren’t the only ones keeping the janitor busy.

A deer recently made its way into Henley Middle School, but it didn’t get far down the hall before slipping and sliding.

“You never know what you may find at Henley Middle School. Those floors sure are slippery.” Ablemarle County Public Schools wrote on its Facebook page. “Thank you to Mr. Souradji Issotou for all his help with removing the deer safely and securely. All is well in #ACPS. You’re welcome for this bit of fun for the day.”

One parent responded on Facebok, “Way to go Souradji - Thanks for getting him out safely! A new meaning to ’And other duties as assigned.’”

Earlier this year, a deer wandered on stage at a theatre in Arlington.
