Dr. Chung Champions Patient, Employee Safety: Centreville Hero

CENTREVILLE, VA — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we're working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

This submission comes from Lisa Adcock, who nominated Dr. Sandy Chung. Lisa is a pediatric nurse at Fairfax Pediatric Associates, the practice where Dr. Chung works. Lisa admires the tireless work ethic that Dr. Chung has shown since the start of the coronavirus crisis.

Relationship to nominee: I am a pediatric nurse in her practice.

Reason for recognition: Dr. Chung, along with all of our providers, have made it as safe as possible for our patients to keep their well AND sick appointments with our office. We offer telemedicine, mobile van visits to your home, and curbside check-ups and two “well only” locations.

One thing to know: Dr. Chung has been tireless in her efforts to keep not only her staff safe and employed throughout this whole time, but also has been a champion for her patients’ safety!
