Compton Road Reopens After Multi-Vehicle Crash: Updated

Fairfax County Police closed part of Compton Road Wednesday morning following a multi-vehicle crash that left one person injured.

Updated (June 30, 12 p.m.): Fairfax County Police reopened Compton Road to traffic shortly before 12 p.m. on Wednesday, according to a post on the FCPD Twitter account.

CENTREVILLE, VA — A multi-vehicle crash involving an overturned dump truck in Centreville left one person injured Wednesday morning, according to a 10:35 a.m. post on the Fairfax County Police Department's Twitter account.

One person involved in the crash was transported to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police closed Compton Road between Centreville Road and Ordway Road and asked the public to avoid the area.

Units from Fairfax County Fire & Rescue were dispatched in response to the crash, according to a post on Twitter by DC Realtime News. It also reported that Hazmat assistance was requested due to overturned dump truck leaking fuel.
