Fundraiser for Homeless Teen Football Player Within Striking Distance of Goal

Centreville High School alumni, staff and supporters have teamed up to raise more than $20,000 for a homeless student and his family.

A fundraiser to help a homeless Centreville teen and his family is well within striking distance of its $25,000 goal.

The GoFundMe page to support Centreville High Lineman Isaac Samuel  has racked up $21,000 in the last two weeks.

Isaac,a player on the state championship-winning team, lives with his mother and a younger sibling in a Fairfax County shelter.

Centreville High graduate Ashley Stewart said she started a GoFundMe page for Isaac and has been working with Centreville-area realtor John Purvis to find the family an affordable home.

It's still not too late to donate. Visit the GoFundMe page here
