Sen. Warner to Meet with Local Community Sunday at KORUS Fest

Annual event is held at Bull Run Park.

On Sunday, at 12 noon, Sen. Mark R. Warner, who is running for re-election, will meet with local community members as he visits the KORUS Festival, an annual event put on by Korean American Association of Washington Metropolitan Area (KAWW). The meet and greet will take place at the Bull Run Regional Park Special Events Center, 7700 Bull Run Drive in Centreville.

Warner’s campaign noted in a news release Friday that he has worked in the Senate to create jobs and grow the economy by advancing policies that encourage small business growth, address the student debt crisis and bring jobs back to Virginia, rather than sending them overseas.

As Governor, the campaign notes that Warner helped bring nearly 130,000 jobs and helped Virginia earn the designation as the nation’s best state for business and the best-managed state.

Elected to the U.S. Senate in 2008, Warner is widely viewed as a bipartisan consensus-builder and has worked across the aisle to incentivize local companies to keep their jobs in Virginia, to create targeted tax incentives through the Startup Act 3.0 and to promote innovation through crowd funding and reducing unnecessary costs for small businesses.
