Centreville Homicide Victim Is Under 18: Police
Fairfax County police found the homicide victim Wednesday morning on a Centreville street.

Update — Detectives with the Fairfax County Police Department have tentatively identified the homicide victim found Wednesday in Centreville as a juvenile, or less than 18 years old, the department announced Thursday. The individual's remains were found in the 13000 block of Jeb Stuart Square.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy Thursday of the body to determine the manner of death, and detectives are working closely with the doctors to confirm the male juvenile's identity.
The department said a new state law bars law enforcement agencies from directly or indirectly identifying deceased juvenile crime victims without parental consent.
