Celebrating 140 Dog Years in Service + Loudoun County Resolution

ALDIE VETERINARY HOSPITAL CELEBRATES 20 YEARS (140 DOG YEARS) OF SERVICE AND IS HONORED BY LOUDOUN COUNTY SUPERVISORS

We are humbled to be recognized not only by the Board of Loudoun County Supervisors, but to have been recently featured in LoudounNow and NewsBreak! A digital copy of the offical resolution can be found here.

South Riding, VA -- On the morning of September 25, 2019 Loudoun County Supervisor for the Dulles District, Matt Letourneau, officially presented a resolution to recognize Dr. Drew Luce for providing quality care and pioneering advanced veterinary medical procedures, and Aldie Veterinary Hospital for 20 years (or 140 dog years) of service.

Members of the Aldie Veterinary Hospital team, clients, and friends — both two-legged and four-legged — congregated in the lobby of the Dulles South Veterinary Center, located at 25067 Elk Lick Road, South Riding, VA 20152, to participate in the presentation of the Loudoun County resolution honoring Dr. Luce’s work and contributions. In attendance were Kelli Rhymes, DVM, Aimee Luce, Kat Grundy, Rosemary Williams, Art and Careen Hunt, Jacquie Harwood, Ashley Meige, Katie Rose Hamilton, Laura Harders, and long-time client Jay Carroll, who has been bringing his pets to Aldie Veterinary Hospital since their opening in 1999.

Initial remarks were provided by Supervisor Matt Letourneau commending Dr. Drew Luce on his dedication to veterinary medicine and Loudoun County’s animals. Aldie Veterinary Hospital was recognized as a business that has impacted the community and stimulated economic growth, as one of the first animal hospitals to open its doors in South Riding, and more recently to have developed and opened a new, free-standing, state-of-the-art facility in 2015.

Supervisor Matt Letourneau shared his gratitude to Dr. Luce and his veterinary hospital, then recited the official resolution signed by all members of the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors. “Recognizing Dr. Drew Luce and Aldie Veterinary Hospital: Whereas Dr. Drew Luce has dedicated his 30-year career to caring for the animals of Northern Virginia and has served the community in many capacities, including as the Dulles District representative on the Loudoun County Animal Advisory Committee; and whereas Dr. Luce owns the Dulles South Veterinary Center, which is home to the Aldie Veterinary Hospital and the Dulles South Animal Emergency and Referral Hospital; and whereas Aldie Veterinary Hospital is celebrating its 20-year anniversary in 2019; and whereas Aldie Veterinary Hospital has dedicated itself to bringing the community quality pet care such as pharmaceutical services, minimally invasive procedures, management of acute and chronic diseases, on-site lab diagnostic testing, and orthopedic and soft tissue surgery; and whereas Aldie Veterinary Hospital provides a number of other services including rehabilitative acupuncture, grooming, nutritional counseling, and hospice care. Now therefore be it resolved that the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors officially recognizes and commends Dr. Drew Luce for providing quality care and pioneering advanced veterinary medical procedures, and Aldie Veterinary Hospital for 20 years of service.”

Dr. Luce thanked Supervisor Letourneau and shared “It is an honor to receive this and it has been a privilege to serve Loudoun County pet families the past 20 years. I look forward to the next 20 years as well!”

During the ceremony several pets entered the lobby with their owners and shared in the excitement. Pippin, the affable office cat, also made his way around the room and made congratulatory meows in the presence of the Supervisor and guests.
