Dulles Town Center's Backyard Movie Fest Rescheduled

Dulles Town Center and Lerner Residential are changing plans for showing Pitch Perfect this weekend.

“Due to the impending tropical storm, we have decided to reschedule the event this Saturday to Saturday, October 24th, according to an announcement by Dan Cook, Director of Retail Marketing for Lerner.

Originally, Dulles Town Center and Lerner Residential have partnered together to host a Backyard Movie Fest in October featuring Pitch Perfect on October 3rd and Monsters Inc. on October 17th.

The event will be free and include activities for families, a moon bounce, and exclusive discounts/coupons from DTC Retailers. The Washington Nationals mascots will attend the October 17th event.

“Both Dulles Town Center mall and Lerner Residential is excited to present our first ever Backyard Movie Fest featuring Pitch Perfect 2 and Monsters, Inc.,” stated Cook. “We have two fun-filled nights planned for the Northern Virginia community and look forward to welcoming the many guests to Dulles Town Center’s Backyard in October.”

Event Details:

Movies: October 3rd, 2015 Pitch Perfect 2; CHANGED to October 24th.

October 17th, 2015 - Monsters, Inc.

Time: Event begins at 5:00p.m. | Movies begin at Sundown

Location: Kent Drive, Sterling, Virginia

Cost: Event is free to the public, nominal charges for food may apply

What to bring:

· Blankets (it is October and might be chilly)

· Lawn Chairs

· Pillows

Where to park:

Guests can either park at the mall and walk over (short 5-minute walk across the bridge near The Cheesecake Factory) or seek parking around the activities. (Parking maps will be located here, check back for updates).

Activities:

Moon bounces; family fun activities; exclusive discounts/coupons from DTC Retailers.

At the October 17th event, the Washington Nationals mascots will be in attendance

Food:
Food choices will be available from participating Dulles Town Center restaurants including P.F. Chang’s, The Cheesecake Factory, Chopathi India Kitchen, Chick-fil-A, Smoothie King, Chuck E. Cheese’s and others. Dulles Town Center also has several dining choices available throughout for before or after the movie. (Restaurants subject to change).

Inclement Weather:

In the event of inclement weather, the event will be postponed to Saturday, October 24th.

Dulles Town Center’s Town Commons is located adjacent to Lerner’s Remington Apartment Homes at the intersection of Dulles Center Boulevard and Champion Drive. Event visitors can choose between two convenient parking locations adjacent to the Town Commons or at Dulles Town Center mall. Parking signage will assist event goers with parking locations.
