CHANTILLY, VA — Here's just the place to take the kids on a bonafide hayride on a real farm surrounded by a dizzying display of lights and other holiday decorations. Say hello to the new Festival of Lights Hayride & Walk at Amazing Farm Fun, 26469 Ticonderoga Road.
If you go, you have the option of taking the hayride or simply taking the tour on foot. If weather permits, expect a bonfire, as well as s'mores, hot chocolate and other drinks and snacks. Hayride tickets must be purchased online beforehand. Here's more information:
Tickets cost between $12.95-$14.95, with kids ages 2 and under free. The hours are 5-9:30 p.m. overall. Hayrides go from 5-6:30 p.m., and the walk goes from 7-8:30 p.m. If taking the hayride, you're suggested to arrive at least 15 minutes in advance. It began Nov. 17 and runs through Jan. 5.
