Loudoun County Appoints Jim Bonfils as Interim Broad Run District Supervisor

James (Jim) G. Bonfils was sworn in as the interim Broad Run District supervisor for Loudoun County on September 22nd.

The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors announced the appointed Jim Bonfils on September 21st, to fill the seat of Shawn Williams, who resigned earlier in September

Williams resignation was submitted on September 6th, the same day he was a charged with assaulting a neighbor.

Bonfils, who was one of 12 people who applied for the position, is also the chair of the county’s Parks, Recreation and Open Space Board and a member of the county’s Advisory Commission on Youth

He will serve on the Board of Supervisors through December 31, 2015 and the candidate who is elected as Broad Run District Supervisor in the November general election will take office on January 1, 2016, according to a news release from Loudoun County Government.
