Loudoun County Public Schools to Hold Presentation on SAT Changes
"Everything You Want to Know About the New SAT and More!" held in Rock Ridge High school on Sept. 23.

The Class of 2017 and later will be taking a new version of the SAT. Starting on March 5, 2016, the new version of the SAT will be released.
According to the College Board press release, the redesigned exam will:
• have three sections: Evidence-Based Reading and Writing, Math, and the Essay.

• return to the 1600 scale. The essay will provide a separate score.
• be approximately three hours in length, with an additional 50 minutes for the essay. The precise time of the exam will be affirmed through research.

For those that are concerned or have questions, Loudoun County Public School (LCPS) is offering a presentation to address the changes to the new SAT and PSAT/NMSQT on September 23 on 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Parents, students, and educators, will have an opportunity to hear Janet Swandol from the College Board talk about the new changes and discuss the College Board’s partnership with Khan academy.
