Personal Property Taxes Due October 5th for Loudoun County Residents

Find out where to pay and avoid paying a penalty fee.

Loudoun County Treasurer H. Roger Zurn Jr. is reminding residents about property (car) taxes by October 5th to avoid a 10 percent penalty plus interest.

Payments postmarked after October 5, 2015, will incur a 10 percent late payment penalty and payments not received within 60 days will incur an additional 15 percent penalty, according to Zurn’s office. Additional interest per year will also be charged.

The due date will not be extended for bills where assessment questions have been filed with the Commissioner of the Revenue.

The Personal Property Tax Relief Program for the Elderly or Disabled is administered by the Commissioner of the Revenue.

Payments can be made using electronic check (eCheck), VISA, MasterCard, American Express or Discover. Please note that there is a convenience fee added to credit card transactions. There is no fee for eCheck.
