Severe Weather Watch
Fairfax County, as well as other parts of Virginia, is likely to get hit with thunderstorms and tornadoes.
The National Weather Service has issued a special statement for our area:
Severe thunderstorms with isolated tornadoes are likely to impact the Washington metropolitan area and southern Maryland between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. today.
A line of gusty showers and severe thunderstorms over northern and central Virginia will continue to slowly progress east through the Washington metropolitan and southern Maryland area between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Isolated tornadoes are possible in some of the stronger thunderstorms. Please be ready to take cover should warnings be issued for your area.
