Stephen Wayne Morris, 45

Stephen Wayne Morris was swept into the arms of God on September 16, 2015 after an eleven month battle with Leukemia. He was 45 years old.

Stephen is survived by his wife of 18 years Stephanie, his two sons Ryan and Daniel, his daughter Sophie, all of Chantilly, VA; and his parents Lee and Denise Morris of Providence Forge, VA.

Stephen grew up in Mechanicsville, VA, graduated from Lee Davis High School and the Virginia Military Institute. After VMI, Stephen served in the United States Air Force, working in Presidential Support and Intelligence Operations.

After the birth of his first child, he transferred to USAF Reserves where he retired as a Lt Col. Stephen worked in the private sector supporting the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and the Defense Intelligence Agency.

In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, completed two Master programs at George Mason University and coached several youth sports including Lacrosse, Basketball and Swimming through CYA.

A Funeral Service will be held at Fairfax Community Church 11451 Braddock Road, Fairfax VA 22030 on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 10:30AM with a small reception afterward.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Chantilly High School Lacrosse, Chantilly Youth Association Lacrosse programs, Boy Scout Troop 695 of Chantilly VA or Fairfax Community Church.
