Suspects Flee After Stealing Jewelry at Dulles Expo Center: Police
A police helicopter and a K9 team responded in pursuit of 2 suspects who stole a bag of jewelry from a vendor at a Dulles Expo Center show.

CHANTILLY, VA — Two suspects are on the run after stealing a bag of jewelry from a vendor at the Dulles Expo International Gem and Jewelry Show in Chantilly on Dec. 17, according to the Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD).
Police say that the vendor, a 54-year-old man, was walking to his car which was parked in the 4300 block of Chantilly Shopping Center at about 1:04 p.m. Two men approached him, attempted to distract him and then grabbed a bag containing an undisclosed amount of jewelry.
The victim struggled with the suspects; attracting the attention of several citizens who then called police.

The victim was not injured.
The suspects ran in the direction of a nearby hotel.

Fairfax 1 and a K9 team responded to check the area but were unable to locate the suspects; both of whom were described as Hispanic, in their 30s.
One was wearing glasses and dark clothing. The other was wearing gray clothing, according to police.
