Third Wegmans in Fairfax County Planned for Chantilly

Limited details have been released but one thing is for sure, Wegmans is coming to Chantilly, according to the Washington Business Journal.

Aside from its common grocery store items, Wegmans is known for its Prepared Food section including pizza, coffee bar, sushi, and sandwich sections.

A lease has been signed confirming that the food store will take up 21 acres of the 101 acre Commonwealth Centre at Westfields, a Wegmans representative told the WBJ.

The store will be built near the Stonecroft Boulevard and Westfields Boulevard intersection and have a similar format as those already open in Virginia, the WBJ reports.

A prospective opening date has not yet been released.

Wegmans has locations throughout Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and Massachusetts. The first Wegmans in the county was opened in Fairfax and the second will open later in the year by Kingstowne.
