Potential short-term improvements being studied include adding reflective traffic signal backplates; replacing and adding pavement and crosswalk markings; providing additional signage; adding pedestrian signals in the median to create a two-stage crossing; converting bus stops to bus shelters; and adding a Galesbury Lane and Lees Corner Road sidewalk connection.
Accorrding to VDOT, potential mid-term improvement options under consideration include reconfiguring and modifying intersections and access management strategies for properties along the corridor.
