Updated: 1 Person Hospitalized After Vehicle Crash In Yorktown

A victim involved in a two-vehicle crash in the Yorktown area on Wednesday was taken to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Fire & EMS transported a patient to the hospital from a vehicle crash that occurred Wednesday morning near Yorktown High School, according to posts on the department's official Twitter account.

Rescue units responded around 7:19 a.m., for the report of a vehicle crash in the area of Yorktown Boulevard and N Harrison Street. Upon arrival, they found a two-vehicle crash with one vehicle lying on its side off of the roadway, according to Lt. Nate Hiner, ACFD public information officer.

Rescue personnel were able to extricate a single person from the vehicle and transported them to a nearby hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

No further details were available about the cause of the crash or the identity of the hospitalized individual.
