2 Charged With Assault Following Brief Chase: Police

ROSSLYN, VA — Arlington County Police made two assault & battery arrests Thursday morning following a brief chase in the North Highland area, according to the daily crime report.

Officers were dispatched around 9:10 a.m., Thursday, for the report of a domestic dispute at a residence in the 2000 block of N. Cleveland St. Arriving officers observed one of the people involved in the dispute fleeing the residence on foot. Police began a foot pursuit and started canvassing the area. A helicopter also assisted in the search.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the person who had fled the scene had entered a residence in the 1700 block of North Troy St. Police made contact with the individual and convinced him to exit the residence. He was then taken into custody without incident. Police determined that during a prior incident the man had pushed the victim, causing a minor injury.

ACPD arrested Jakwan Bullock, 22, of Arlington, and charged him with assault & battery. They also served him with outstanding warrants for brandishing and failure to appear on a felony charge. He is being held without bond.

Police also determined that a second individual had threatened a second victim and produced a knife. ACPD charged Monique Bullock, 43, of Arlington, and charged her with assault & battery. She was held on a secured bond.
