2 Early Morning Burglaries Investigated By Arlington Police
Arlington County Police are investigating two burglaries that occurred early Wednesday morning, one in Rosslyn and the other in Clarendon.
ROSSLYN, VA — Arlington County Police are investigating two burglaries, one in the Rosslyn area and the other in Clarendon, that took place early Wednesday morning, according to the daily crime report.
In the first case, officers were dispatched around 1:48 a.m., to a hotel in the 1600 block of Arlington Blvd., for the report of a breaking and entering. Once they'd arrived, the victim told the officers she had been awoken by the noise of a man banging on her hotel room door around 1:40 a.m. The man forced his way into the room, caused damage, and then grabbed the woman around the upper torso. She was able to break free and flee the room on foot. The officers established a perimeter, and a K9 track was conducted.
Around 2:07 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of N. Quinn St., for the report of a man, who matched the description of the hotel suspect, banging on the door of a building. The officers took the man into custody and determined later that he had damaged a shed located outside the Quinn Street building, according to the report.

Police arrested Nomin-Erdene Begzjav, 25, of Arlington, and charged him with burglary with intent to commit assault, assault and battery, and two counts of destruction of property. He is being held without bond.

In the second case, officers responded around 2:14 a.m., for the report of an alarm at a business in the 1000 block of N. Fillmore St. Police determined that someone had unsuccessfully tried to force their way into business, causing damage. Police described the victim as wearing a dark long-sleeve shirt and dark gloves. This case remains under investigation.
