In Arlington: Third Annual Women in Business Conference Next Week

Veteran TV news anchor Maureen Bunyan to moderate conference.

The Arlington County Commission on the Status of Women, in partnership with the Ballston BID, Living Vicky, and the Arlington Chapter of NOW, hosts its third annual Women in Business Conference: Women in Non-Traditional Fields. The conference will highlight women excelling in under-represented fields -- those industries where women represent less than 25 percent of the workforce and where abundant opportunities exist.

The conference will feature a panel of leading women from business, defense, finance, and law enforcement and will be moderated by veteran television news anchor, Maureen Bunyan of WJLA-TV. Panelists will share their challenges, triumphs, and insights that will inspire you to explore a career path less traveled.

The event will be held on October 9, at 6:30 p.m. in the Conference Center of the NRECA Building, 4301 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA. The Commission is requesting donations of $20 pre-purchase, or $25 at the door, to support its ongoing efforts in supporting initiatives for women in the county and throughout the region.
