Arrest Made In Clarendon Malicious Wounding Case: Police Report
Arlington County Police arrested a Massachusetts man early Saturday morning in connection with a malicious wounding incident.

CLARENDON, VA — Arlington County Police arrested a Massachusetts man early Saturday morning in connection with a malicious wounding incident in Clarendon, according to the daily crime report.
An ACPD officer working the nightlife detail observed a man with a knife around 2:18 a.m., near the intersection of Wilson Boulevard at N. Highland Street in Clarendon. The officer detained the man without incident.
Police determined the man had tried to intervene when two other men became involved in a verbal altercation. The first man was physically assaulted by one of the two men and fell to the ground. As he stood up, he pulled out a knife, brandished it to try and stop the assault, and then walked away.

Following an investigation, ACPD identified Griffin Condon, 22, of Wareham, Massachusetts as the aggressor in the assault. Police arrested Condon and charged him with malicious wounding and being drunk in public. He is being held without bond.
