Hepatitis A is a contagious liver disease resulting from a virus and illness occurs within 15 to 50 days of exposure, according to the FDA website. It is usually spread when a person ingests fecal matter even in microscopic amounts from contact with objects, food or drinks contaminated by the feces of an infected person.

The Center for Disease Control recommends that if consumers ate the product within the last two weeks and have not been vaccinated for Hepatitis A, they should contact their health provider to find out if they need to be vaccinated for it.
