Man Robbed, Knocked Unconscious In North Rosslyn Attack

ROSSLYN, VA — Arlington County Police are investigating two recent criminal incidents, a burglary near Fort Myer and a robbery by force in North Rosslyn, according to the daily crime report.

In the first case, officers were dispatched around 1:40 p.m., on Wednesday, for the late report of a burglary at a residence in the 2800 block of Arlington Blvd. They determined that an unknown suspect entered the residence between Oct. 15 and 20, tampered with items and left a mess. No suspect description was released.

In the second case, officers were dispatched around 10:11 p.m., on Wednesday, for the late report of a robbery by force. Police learned a man approached the victim between 9 p.m. and 9:49 p.m., in the 1800 block of N. Moore St. The man asked for a cigarette and money, and attempted to strike up a conversation. As the victim pulled out his wallet, the man struck him with a closed fist, causing him to drop to the ground and lose consciousness. After stealing the victim's wallet, the man fled the scene. Police described the suspect as a Black man, 25-35 years of age, standing about the 6-foot-1, with black hair.

Both cases remain under investigation.
