O2 Outdoor Office Space Coming To Rosslyn's Gateway Park

A new outdoor working space will open mid-October in the heart of the Rosslyn BID.

ROSSLYN, VA — Come mid-October, many of Rosslyn's workers will be able do their jobs outside at the new O2 outdoor workspace in Gateway Park.

The Rosslyn Business Improvement District (BID) announced the upcoming installation of the workspace Wednesday, which will leverage existing infrastructure and natural elements already at the park to create an open-air retreat for professionals looking for a change of scenery.

“We know that safe outdoor public spaces are key to maintaining mental and physical health and helping people feel connected to where they spend their time,” said Mary-Claire Burick, president of the Rosslyn BID, in a release.“O2 is an extension of the wonderful office community we have in Rosslyn and we’re excited to bring it to Arlington.”

The space will be free and will offer an easy-to-use reservation system, which will be available in October. To keep the area safe, trained Rosslyn BID Ambassadors will be on hand to sanitize workspaces and streamline operations.

Throughout the phased reopening, Rosslyn BID has worked to ensure a safe return for the district's many workers. This includes adding sanitizing wipe stations, placing furniture 6-8 feet apart, and providing additional seating so that people can gather while maintaining a safe social distance. Rosslyn BID Ambassadors have also increased cleaning protocols for all high-touch traffic zones and surfaces throughout Rosslyn.
