Seven Pinkberry Stores Scheduled for Chapter 7 Liquidation

But winning bidder may reopen frozen yogurt shops: media report.

The assets of seven local Pinkberry frozen yogurt stores will be auctioned off next month in a bankruptcy proceeding.

But the winning bidder may decide to reopen the stores, according to the Washington Business Journal. The Pinkberry locations are in Fairfax, Clarendon, Gainesville, Tysons Corner, National Harbor, Georgetown and Dupont Circle.

Pinkberry Midatlantic LCC, the local franchisee for the California-based chain, filed for Chapter 7 liquidation Dec. 26 at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. The company’s assets are valued at $769,000.

The auction is scheduled to take place on Feb. 10 at the bankruptcy court in Alexandria.
