Shirlington Library Continues James Bond Film Festival This Week

Film festival continues on Tuesday nights until Oct. 15.

If you love James Bond movies you may want to head to Shirlington Village this week, when they’ll be showing the next in series of Bond films. The James Bond Film Festival is free of charge.

This week’s “Licence to Kill,” stars Timothy Dalton as 007. The film will be shown Tuesday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Shirlington Library, located at 4200 Campbell Ave. There’s plenty of parking either on the street or in an adjacent parking garage.

  • Tuesday, Oct. 7: “Die Another Day” with Pierce Brosnan
  • Tuesday, Oct. 14: “Casino Royale” with Daniel Craig

The series began Sept. 2 with Sean Connery starring in “From Russia With Love.” Films starring George Lazenby and Roger Moore also played earlier in September.
