Suspect Wanted In Series Of Recent Robberies
Arlington County Police are seeking the public's help in identifying a man they say was involved in three recent robberies.
ROSSLYN, VA — Detectives from the Homicide/Robbery Unit of the Arlington County Police Department are asking the public's help in identifying a suspect in three recent robberies in Rosslyn, Virginia Square, and Clarendon areas, according to a police release. Following a preliminary investigation, detectives believe the incidents involve the same suspect.
In the first incident, officers were dispatched around 4:21 p.m., on Sept. 23, for the report of a robbery in the 4200 block of Fairfax Drive. Police determined an individual entered a business, approached the front counter and handed a note to an employee, demanding money and threatening harm if they didn't comply. The victim gave an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect, who then fled the scene.
In the second incident, police were dispatched around 4:17 p.m., on Oct. 19, for the report of a robbery at a business in the 1500 block of Wilson Blvd. Police learned that the suspect passed a note to the cashier, demanded money, and threatened her. The cashier did not comply. Instead, she sought the help of another employee. The suspect stepped in front of her and tried to grab the note back. After failing to do that, he fled the scene.

Later that same day, around 4:44 p.m., ACPD officers responded for the report of a robbery of force at a business in the 3100 block of Wilson Blvd. This time, the suspect approached the front counter after entering the business and passed a note to the cashier, demanding money and threatening her. The cashier handed him an undisclosed amount of money. He fled the scene before police arrived.
Police describe the suspect as a Black man, 25-35 years of age, standing 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-9, with a slim build, and black hair. The suspect was wearing a construction vest during the Sept. 23 incident. In both incidents on Oct. 19, he was wearing a construction helmet.
