Teenagers Hurl Rocks at Cars, Shops in Clarendon

One car windshield and the front window of on Clarendon Boulevard were damaged Monday evening after both were struck by rocks thrown by two unknown juvenile suspects from the rooftop of the .

Arlington County Police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck said no pedestrians were injured during the incident.

The owner of the damaged car reported the incident to police at 6:09 p.m.

Officers found numerous golf ball- and baseball-sized rocks in the 2800 block of Clarendon Boulevard after the incident was reported.

Witnesses described the suspects as two African American teenagers, about 15 to 18 years old. One was dressed in a blue shirt. The other teen wore red, the police report indicates.

An Orvis employee said the window will be fixed later today. The manager of the Washington Sports Club declined to comment on how the teenagers gained access to the roof.
