Weapons Charge Filed Against Man Shooting At Bird: Police Report

VIRGINIA SQUARE, VA — Arlington County Police levied a weapons charge against a man for firing an airgun in public Tuesday morning in the Virginia Square area, according to the daily crime report.

Officers responded around 7:52 a.m., for the report of a person with a gun at Wilson Boulevard at N. Kenmore Street. A witness told arriving officers that they observed a man pull an air gun out of his backpack and fire it in the direction of a bird. The officers located a man who matched the witness' description of the suspect and recovered three air guns.

Police charged Ytiyti Ytity, 69, of no fixed address, with discharging an air gun in public. They released him on a summons.
