WOW House: Clarendon Condo Listed for $1

A condo in a luxury Clarendon building is listed for just $1 — and, no, that’s not a typo.

But you have to move fast. Offers on the home are due at 6 p.m. Monday, June 3.

The condo, 1020 N. Highland St. Unit 611, has one bedroom, one bathroom and a private balcony. It’s in the Pheonix Condos building, which features a rooftop pool, fitness center, bike storage, concierge and assigned covered parking.

This is something of an experiment for Realtors Dan Lesniak and Gabe Deukmaji, founders of the City Smart Living Team.

“We believe many people, when selling their home, focus too much on the list price rather than the marketing effort and the distribution channels,” Lesniak told Patch. “When people list places … too high, it often limits the amount of buyers who will consider it and leads to an overall lower sales price.”

By listing the condo at an eye-popping low price, the team is hoping for an unusually high sales price.
