Homes, community associations and businesses were among the Alexandria Beautification Award winners.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — The Alexandria Beautification Commission has announced winners of its 2019 Beautification Awards.
The awards recognize residents, businesses, and organizations for contributing to the beautification of Alexandria through landscaping, architecture and sustainable design. Awards are given in six categories, as well as a new special merit award category, Excellence in Planning and Design.
"Alexandria continually ranks high on many lists as a top place to live and work, in large part due to community participation and the Commission’s beautification efforts," said Mayor Justin Wilson in remarks at the award ceremony.
