Audi Dealership Exits Mount Vernon Avenue

Audi of Alexandria left its Mount Vernon Avenue facility earlier this month for a new dealership in Arlington County, leaving the property at 1704 Mount Vernon Ave. vacant.

Those dreaming of a renovation for restaurant or other retail use should keep their heads firmly in their pillows, however, as the site is likely to house another car dealership.

Rosenthal Automotive’s lease on the property has somewhere around five to 10 years remaining, according to Alexandria Economic Development Partnership representatives, meaning a new dealership is expected.

AEDP Vice President Stephanie Landrum said last week she was not aware of what the new tenant will be. Kia has been rumored. Landrum said it wouldn’t be long before a backfill tenant is announced. 

Audi celebrated the opening of new facility on Columbia Pike in Arlington County last week. Audi of Alexandria had stored cars at the site of the new facility, located at 3200 Columbia Pike, for several years.
