The Birchmere To Reopen With Limits In Alexandria
The venue has announced a lineup of shows with social distancing guidelines for guests.
ALEXANDRIA, VA — Alexandria's Birchmere music hall will reopen for a lineup of performances with coronavirus-related precautions and limited capacity. The first show will be held on July 10.
In accordance with Gov. Ralph Northam's phase three reopening guidelines, entertainment facilities such as concert venues can reopen with restrictions. Occupancy is limited to 50 percent, and ten feet of physical distance must be maintained between separate households. Phase three is planned to start on July 1 across Virginia.
The Birchmere's website says it is following guidelines from Virginia and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Seats are general admission, but social distancing guidelines will be implemented and staff will escort guests to seats. Face masks are required when guests are not in their seats.
