Cold Weather Timeline for Alexandria

A wind chill advisory has been issued for Alexandria.

It's been a pretty bumpy ride the past few weeks in Alexandria with snow, ice and bone-chilling temperatures.

This week appears no better.

Temperatures are expected to take a dive beginning Monday night in Northern Virginia and stay there through Thursday.

A wind chill advisory has been issued for Alexandria from 1 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28. Wind chills of -5 to -10 degrees are possible. The city is advising residents to bundle up as low temperatures may lead to hypothermia or frostbite on exposed skin. 
On Sunday night, the Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang said it is keeping an eye on a storm that could bring snow to the area on Wednesday.
