DASH To Suspend Service With Alexandria Under Curfew
Alexandria's bus system joined Metro in closing early for public safety reasons after Wednesday's breach at the U.S. Capitol.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — DASH Bus in Alexandria will suspend service at 9 p.m. on Wednesday in response to public safety concerns related to the riot at the U.S. Capitol.
Alexandria, Arlington and DC are under a curfew from 6 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday as issued by Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam and DC Mayor Muriel Bowser.
DASH opted to suspend service at 9 p.m. in the interest of public safety. Trips scheduled to start at 9 p.m. or before will be completed. Trips scheduled to start at 9:01 p.m. or after will not operate.

DASH plans to resume service Thursday morning but will continue to monitor the situation to decide if other changes are warranted.
Metro previously announced its rail service will close at 8 p.m., and Metrobus service will end at 9 p.m.
