Del Ray New Year's Events: 2019 Guide

ALEXANDRIA, VA—Ready or not, 2018 is close to coming to an end. If you're one who likes to ring in the new year with a party, there are plenty of options around Del Ray. And for those who just want a dinner with friends, there are options there as well.

Whatever your method of ringing in the new year, Patch has you covered with a short list of some New Year's Eve options in and around Del Ray. We will update this story with more events up to New Year's Eve.

First Night Alexandria: The region's largest family-friendly and alcohol-free New Year's Eve event, has activities starting at 2 p.m. leading up to fireworks at midnight. You'll need a badge to access the First Night Alexandria venues, but watching fireworks in public is free. Location: Around Alexandria

New Year's Eve Dinner in Cheesetique Style: Join Cheesetique for a four-course New Year's Eve Dinner. Four Courses ($55) include: personal cheese plate, soup or salad, choice of entree and festive dessert. Special wine pairings are $30. Location: 2411 Mt Vernon Ave, Alexandria, VA 22301

Northside 10 New Year's Eve: This party includes a DJ, dancing, champagne toast, signature cocktails and a late night buffet for $50. The party starts at 9 p.m. and goes until we ring in 2019. Dress to impress. Tickets are limited. Location: 10 E Glebe Rd, Alexandria, VA 22305

New Year's Eve Dinner + Live Music at No. 9 Lounge: Make your last meal of 2018 a memorable one at Evening Star Cafe. Executive Chef Jonathan Till will be offering a tasting menu priced at $70 per person (excludes tax and gratuity). Additional wine pairings will be available for $30. The party will be rocking all night long with live music from The Beanstalk Library and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. There is no cover charge for the party. THE SELDOM SCENE with The High & Wides and Ms. Adventure at The Birchmere: Make your New Year' Eve a musical one with the award-winning, Grammy-nominated bluegrass band. Location: 3701 Mt Vernon Ave, Alexandria, VA 22305

DMV Annual New Year's Eve Gala 2019: EZ Street from 96.3 WHUR will host this New Year's Eve bash featuring six party rooms. Enjoy hors d'oeuvres before, champagne and party favors. Early bird tickets are $75 - $80 until Dec. 26. Location: Hilton Alexandria Mark Center, 5000 Seminary Rd, Alexandria, VA 22311
