Del Ray Vintage & Flea Market To Kick Off In July

The monthly market is scheduled to run, but face masks are required.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Del Ray Vintage & Flea Market, an outdoor market with garage sale-type items and vintage collectables, will return for the season in July. Precautions are planned in light of the pandemic.

The outdoor market was originally launched in June 2019 by Lauren Fisher and Amy Eggers, two friends in the Del Ray neighborhood. It runs monthly on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the parking lots of Del Ray Psych at 1900 Mount Vernon Avenue and Salvation Army Corps at 1804 Mount Vernon Avenue.

The May and June event dates had been canceled, but the organizers later confirmed future dates would happen. Safety precautions will include a face mask requirement, spacing of vendor tables, hand sanitizer and more.

The market allows anyone with vintage and flea market items to sign up as vendors. Interested vendors can sign up online.
