Dr. Lauren Fisher Elected Del Ray Business Association President
Dr. Lauren Fisher of Del Ray Psych & Wellness​ will succeed Sue Kovalsky as the business association's president.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Dr. Lauren Fisher, co-owner and founder of Del Ray Psych & Wellness, was elected president of the Del Ray Business Association by its board. Mara Benner, founder of Four Directions Wellness, was elected vice president.
The Del Ray Business Association is a group representing small, independent, locally-owned businesses in the Del Ray neighborhood and hosts numerous major events throughout the year. Fisher has been on the association's board since 2017, most recently serving as vice president. She co-chairs the Wellness District, a collaborative group of wellness providers within the association.
Fisher is also an active member of the association's events committee, chairing the Spring Bar Crawl and Candy Cane Bar Crawls. She received the Business Star Award from the Del Ray Business Association in 2017 for her community involvement and service and was on Alexandria Chamber of Commerce's 40 Under 40 list in 2019. Her practice, Del Ray Psych & Wellness, received the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce's 2020 Rising Star Business Award.

"I am honored to be representing an amazing group of resilient, supportive, and community-oriented business owners," said Fisher in a statement. "I look forward to helping our local businesses and community members adapt, evolve, and strengthen over this next year. In the words of Helen Keller, 'Alone we do so little, together we can do so much.'"
Fisher will succeed outgoing president Sue Kovalsky of The Jen Walker Team.
