Fairfax Man Sentenced to 78 Months in Prison for Assaulting Federal Officers
Jay Bonanza Briley, 52, assaulted officers at Daingerfield Island after he was observed naked and engaging in a public sexual act in his car.

Jay Bonanza Briley, 52, of Fairfax was sentenced to 78 months in prison Tuesday followed by three years of supervised release for assaulting, resisting, opposing and impeding officers of the United States Park Police.Â
According to a recent news release from the FBI, Park Police officers observed Briley naked and engaging in a public sexual act in the front seat of a vehicle parked at Daingerfield Island, near the Washington Sailing Marina in January 2012. When officers approached Briley while in his vehicle, he refused to exit peacefully when officers identified themselves.
Briley assaulted one officer by kicking him in the stomach and resisted the other officers as they attempted to remove him from the vehicle and detain him.
