Police have a suspect in custodyMonday after an assault on Mt. Vernon Avenue; victim was sent to hospital.
ALEXANDRIA, VA -- The ‪Alexandria Police Department is investigating a felonious assault in the 3900 block of Mt Vernon Avenue, police said Monday in an alert emailed at 5:24 p.m. The victim was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Police say a suspect is in custody. ‬Expect police activity in the area. There were no other details released by police.
