Free Capital Bikeshare Ride Offered For Earth Day 2021
Capital Bikeshare riders can redeem a free trip under 30 minutes on Thursday, April 22.

WASHINGTON, DC — Capital Bikeshare is bringing back its free ride promotion to encourage people to enjoy the fresh air on Earth Day.
The bikeshare service, owned by Lyft, will allow riders take a free single trip under 30 minutes on Thursday, April 22. Normally, a single trip under 30 minutes costs $2, and a 24-hour day pass costs $8.
To redeem the offer, download the Capital Bikeshare app. The offer will be automatically applied to your account when you pick up a bike at any Capital Bikeshare station and return it to any station. Payment information is required in the case a trip ends up being over 30 minutes.

Capital Bikeshare offers 4,300 bikes at over 500 stations in Washington, DC, Arlington County, Alexandria, Fairfax County, Falls Church, Montgomery County, Md. and Prince George's County, Md.
Riders can see a system map of stations with real-time availability of bikes at account.capitalbikeshare.com/map.
