Guide To Best Christmas Lights In Northern Virginia 2019
Take a driving tour of Christmas displays around Northern Virginia and submit your own.

We asked, you answered. Patch sought the Clark Griswolds of Northern Virginia who go all out with Christmas light displays. These handmade displays, dazzling lights and synchronized shows draw visitors from around the neighborhood, and sometimes from out of town.

Belle Haven
Farmer's Christmas House, 2507 Fairview Drive, Alexandria: It looks like the entire Farmer's Christmas House and yard is covered with lights and inflatables. Follow along for updates on the Farmer's Christmas House Facebook page and support the GoFundMe campaign to repairs and additions to the display.

Brambleton
23554 Boca Field Terrace, Brambleton. Lights line the home and yard at this stunning display. Molly Brais says, "My husband had been expanding our display every year and this year is really something."

Chantilly
42460 Flemming Drive, Chantilly: The display's name "The Inflatables" speaks for itself. Come see the yard filled with inflatables and donate a non-perishable food item for the Dulles South Food Pantry. The family is hoping to break its previous donation record of 400 pounds.
Dale City
Johnston Christmas Wonderland, 4501 Evansdale Road, Woodbridge: The Johnston Christmas Wonderland display lights up 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. daily, weather permitting. Come out to see light up figures and inflatables.

Reagon Court Christmas Lights, 5552 Reagon Court, Woodbridge: This returning favorite has nightly shows 5 p.m.-10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5 p.m.-11 p.m. Friday through Saturday. The owners outlined rules in a recent Facebook post: "When you visit our display, please be considerate of other visitors and neighbors. Parking lights as opposed to headlights is preferable when parked. If you visit when we have a bonfire, please park down the street if you want to get out of your vehicles." Visitors are asked to stay out of the yard unless a bonfire event is happening. Bring a non-perishable food donation for the Local Prince William Food Bank. Falls Church
Polar Acres, 510 East Broad Street, Falls Church: Artist John Lanouette's yard full of handcrafted sculptures returns. Visitors are invited to enter the yard for the walk-through display. Visit the Enchanted Sculptures Facebook page.
Gainesville
7435 Pensacola Place, Gainesville: The Andruzzi family's Christmas display adds new lights and decorations each year. This year's display features a handmade Whoville house, a joy sign, and handmade Santa and elf face cutout. Spectators can walk through the family's lighted arches and enjoy music from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. nightly with a dancing Santa.

King George
9547 Caledon Road, King George: This lineup of lights is on from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Leesburg
Edwards Landing Lights, 1816 Woods Edge Drive NE, Leesburg: This synchronized light show happens nightly from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. through Dec. 28. Tune in to 98.1 FM and enjoy the show. The owners are collecting donations for Johns Hopkins in person and on Venmo @Edwards-Landing-Light. Visitors are asked to be respectful of neighbors and traffic rules. Stone Ridge
42046 Glass Mountain Place, Stone Ridge: This display features all nine reindeer led by Rudolph on a music light sequence and a snow machine. Spectators can search for the "elf on the house" that moves to a new location each day. The owner is collecting non- perishable food for the Dulles South food pantry.

Vienna
1801 Beulah Road, Vienna: If you drive between Wolf Trap and the Town of Vienna at night, chances are you'll see this dazzling display.
Please read the following guidelines before submitting a display to Patch:
- Please submit displays you know are up in 2019. Some displays from years past may no longer be happening.
- Include the exact address of the display.
- Does the display have a name? Be sure to include it.
- Tell us about any special effects, such as synchronized lights, handmade items, etc.
- If you have specific times for the display, let us know. We don't want people ringing your doorbell or bothering your neighbors in the middle of the night.
- Does the display have a Facebook page or website? Be sure to include the links.
- Is the display collecting donations for a charity? Let us know.
- Please submit your own photos. We're going to assume that Patch has permission to use every photo submitted for this feature.
