Indecent Exposures Under Investigation In Del Ray: Police

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Alexandria Police are investigating indecent exposure cases over the span of nearly one year in Del Ray.

The 10 to 11 incidents were reported between May 2020 and February 2021 largely in the morning hours. The incident exposures have happened on various streets, including Mount Vernon Avenue and East Glendale Avenue. No injuries have been reported as a result of any incident.

Because the suspect description has varied between cases, police have not determined how many suspects are involved. In one case, a K-9 unit tracked a suspect's scent for a short distance but lost it.

The police department asks anyone who witnessed indecent exposures to call 911. Those in the neighborhood can review security cameras and report suspicious activity to police.
